THE HISTORY OF THE GOLF CLASSIC & BGCLT

For more than three decades, the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe's Annual Golf Classic has brought together golfers, local businesses, sponsors, and community supporters to raise funds for Tahoe youth.

Edgewood Tahoe has played an integral role in the event’s history, generously donating the use of its golf course and facilities and helping make the Golf Classic one of the Club’s longest-running annual fundraisers. In 2026, we are celebrating 30 years at Edgewood and the amazing impact their partnership has had on local youth.

Now in its 33rd year, the Golf Classic has raised more than $1.1 million to support programs and opportunities for local children and teens. What began as a golf tournament has grown into a longstanding community tradition, made possible by the continued generosity of Edgewood Tahoe and the many sponsors, donors, volunteers, and golfers who return year after year.
